Project Status
Whilst the solar farm has been operational since 2020, FRV is currently developing a battery (BESS) at the site to complement the solar farm. FRV is committed to ongoing communication with the community and stakeholders as development of the battery project continues.

FRV is now seeking planning approval to add a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the site
FRV is currently preparing a modification application to add the BESS to the existing development consent for the Goonumbla Solar Farm. FRV plans to lodge the modification application with the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) in late 2026.
